Assessment Overview

The Cambridge IGCSE Biology course is divided into Core and Extended assessments, depending on the student’s expected grade.

• Core candidates (grades D–G): Paper 1, Paper 3, and either Paper 5 or Paper 6
• Extended candidates (grades C–A*): Paper 2, Paper 4, and either Paper 5 or Paper 6

• Multiple Choice (Core / Extended): Short objective questions to test biological knowledge
• Theory Papers (Core / Extended): Structured and short-answer questions covering syllabus content
• Practical Assessment: Hands-on or alternative practical questions based on experimental skills
