All candidates take two papers, each carrying equal weight.

• Paper 1 — Short Answer and Data Response
  Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
  Marks: 80 (50%)
  Four questions with a mix of short answers and structured data response tasks.
  Candidates answer all questions. Externally assessed.
• Paper 2 — Case Study
  Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
  Marks: 80 (50%)
  Four questions based on a business case study provided with the exam paper.
  Candidates answer all questions. Externally assessed.

Syllabus Overview

The Business Studies syllabus builds a strong understanding of how businesses operate and make decisions. Students learn the basic ideas behind business, including:
